Sjøvoll Galleri og Design is a newly established company that supplies paintings and art prints. As an artist, I have a background in visual design/art with two years at vocational school. I am concerned with psychological processes in us humans, and that a field of tension often arises in art consisting of light and dark, simplifications and contrasts. Northern Norwegian nature and lightning characterize me as an artist; Nature is the foundation from which my art springs, and the culture is the context in which my works rest. I work in the field of tension between the figurative and the abstract. Build layer upon layer. Often a time-consuming process that creates transparency in the images, and directs the gaze inward. I seek, in my works, to challenge the contextual that surrounds me at all times. I am concerned with culture that shapes and changes us, challenges and limits. A desire to seek new perspectives on the world drives me forward, as well as the curiosity and joy of holding on to what gives joy, resonance, calm and harmony.
